CASSIE is an open source web tool that allows the automatic mapping and analysis of the coastline in any coastal zone of the planet. To perform these procedures CASSIE uses the tools and multi-spectral satellite images made available by the Google Earth Engine platform. CASSIE has access to the image collection belonging to the Landsat 5, 7, 8 and sentinel-2 missions. As the Google Earth Engine platform is cloud-based, CASSIE requires internet access, and CASSIE data processing is performed by the Google Cloud platform, making the tool accessible to less robust computers.
